  • Senior Engineer, Item Merchandising Tool Department, Nordstrom Inc., Seattle, Washington, Oct. 2014 – Present
    • Size Normalization: Design and lead the development for size normalization project. Technology: Serverless AWS Lambda on Node.js, S3, API Gateway, SQS, Kafka
    • Inventory Viewer / Pub Tool: Site coordinator use this tool to help push more items live to the website (or find the reason why it's not live), especially useful during busy season such as anniversary and holiday. I'm leading the solution design, implementation, testing and coordinating team effort work. Fast 6-weeks turn-around time from initial discussion to pilot production. Technology: C#, MSSQL, Tibco EMS
    • Lead migration efforts of 12 micro services and web from a decommissioned data center to AWS, working with off-shore team and delivered 2 months ahead of schedule
    • QA Assign Size / Fit Automation: Design and implement rule engine to automate QA workflow value assignment (Fit Guide, Fit Video, Fit Info, Size Info, Size Chart, Display Schema). Fulfillment center workflow to open work item by UPC. Technology: Tibco Business Work, SQL, EMS, BPM, ActiveSpace, AMX Administrator and BWPM. Migrated to .NET in 2016
  • Senior Web Application Engineer, Search Department, Demand Media Inc., Kirkland, Washington, Sept. 2012 – Oct. 2014
    • Hotkeys.com - Domain monetization control panel that controls the algorithm, look and feel for each domain/client. Implemented Google DRID throughout the whole Hotkeys system from invitation, sign-up, agreement, customer page and account manager page
    • Domain Parking - Parking page for millions of websites to serve sponsored ads from partners like Google, Yahoo, Sendori, Marchex, and many others. Created a hosted frame registrar solution for registrar partner like NameCheap.com.
    • SEO Tracker - Created a tool to parse ranking data for search terms from Search Engine provider (eg., Google analytics) and presents it in an easy to understand stack rank chart. The tool allows us to bucket search terms by ranking, and see how the ranking changes over time. This makes it easy to identify the effects of big changes like Panda
    • SEM - Created a technical documentation on Search Engine Marketing platform and how its data being used for analytic purpose
    • Work on parking platform to implement Google CAF Hosted Registrar solution for one of our biggest partner
    • Work on Recommendation Content Platform (RCP) web interface
    • Won 2013 DM Hackaton for eHow Content Recommendation through Facebook Social Plugin

    • Develop and adding new features to the current hosting control panel
    • Develop, improve and fix bugs on their core API technology
    • Co-build webmail 2.0 using AJAX technology
    • Server administration on 60+ servers including Windows (IIS) and Linux (Apache) and build automated batch script for their migration
